MUSE

Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of Matt Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Dominic Howard (drums).

Muse signed to Maverick Records and released their debut album, Showbiz, in 1999, showcasing Bellamy's falsetto and a melancholic alternative rock style. Their second album, Origin of Symmetry (2001), incorporated wider instrumentation and romantic classical influences, and earned them a reputation for energetic live performances.^[1] Absolution (2003) saw further classical influence, with orchestra on tracks such as "Butterflies and Hurricanes", and was the first of five consecutive UK number-one albums.

Black Holes and Revelations (2006) incorporated electronic and pop elements, displayed in singles such as "Supermassive Black Hole".^[1] The album brought Muse wider international success. The Resistance (2009) and The 2nd Law (2012) explored themes of government oppression and civil uprising and cemented Muse as one of the world's major stadium acts. Their seventh album, Drones (2015), was a concept album about drone warfare and returned to a harder rock sound. Their eighth album, Simulation Theory (2018), prominently featured synthesisers and was influenced by science fiction and the simulation hypothesis.

Muse have won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards. In 2012 they received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. As of June 2016, they have sold over 20 million albums worldwide.

Molchat Doma

A band operating on the borderlines of post-punk, new-wave and darker ends of synth-pop, hailing from Belarus, playing music that is dark and danceable at the same time. It is a perfect emulation of the genre yet instantly recognizable as theirs, with lyrics sung in Russian. On top of that – it sounds like a mix of everything a contemporary goth can wish for, and it also sounds an awful lot like the Belarusian band Molchat Doma (which translates as “Houses are silent”).

Human Tetris

     

Human Tetris

Human Tetris wurde 2008 in Moskau gegründet. Der Name Human Tetris ist an eine japanische Fernsehserie angelehnt.  Die vier damaligen Gründungsmitglieder – Arvid Kriger (Gesang und Gitarre), Maxim Keller (Gitarre), Maxim Zaytsev (Bass) und Sasha Kondyr (Schlagzeug) – waren befreundet und beschlossen 2008, gemeinsam Musik zu machen und die Band Human Tetris zu gründen.

Ihre erste EP erschien am 22. Oktober 2009 und trägt den Namen Human Tetris. Nur acht Monate später erschien mit Soldiers ihre zweite EP,  am 3. Februar 2012 schließlich ihr erstes Album Happy Way In The Maze Of Rebirth.  Darauf folgend ging die Band auf eine kleine Europa-Tournee, löste sich nach dieser Tour aber unerwartet im Jahr 2013 auf. Es folgte eine dreijährige Pause, ehe Human Tetris am 29. November 2016 mit ihrer EP River Pt. 1 wieder an die Öffentlichkeit trat.  Die Band bestand seitdem aus Arvid Kriger, Maxim Zaytsev, Tonia Minaeva und Ramil Mubinov.  2016 trat die Band in Lateinamerika auf, 2017 folgte eine Tour durch Europa. Am 26. Oktober 2017 erschien die Single Pictures / Ruins. 

Human Tetris ist, wie auch andere russische Post-Punk-Bands, insbesondere in Lateinamerika bekannt und spielt dort regelmäßig Konzerte.

NIRVANA

Nirvana

Nirvana was an American rock band formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. It was founded by lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting and best-known being Dave Grohl, who joined in 1990. Though the band dissolved in 1994 after the death of Cobain, their music maintains a popular following and continues to influence modern rock and roll culture.

In the late 1980s, Nirvana established itself as part of the Seattle grunge scene, releasing its first album, Bleach, for the independent record label Sub Pop in 1989. They developed a sound that relied on dynamic contrasts, often between quiet verses and loud, heavy choruses. After signing to major label DGC Records in 1991, Nirvana found unexpected mainstream success with "Smells Like Teen Spirit", the first single from their landmark second album Nevermind (1991). A cultural phenomenon of the 1990s, the album went on to be certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).  Nirvana's sudden success popularized alternative rock, and Cobain found himself described as the "spokesman of a generation" and Nirvana the "flagship band" of Generation X.
